By default, all accounts are set up with the periods mentioned in the Included Data Retention column. If you need to alter those periods, please follow the instructions below.

Configure a different Data Retention Policy

To configure a different Data Retention Policy, log in to the Nuacom web portal as Admin. Then head to Settings -> Account Settings & locate the Data Retention Settings tab:

In the section settings, you have the option to set a different data retention period per data type:

If you need a longer period for data retention, you have the ability to upgrade to 3 or 7 years of data retention by buying an add-on per extension:

Lastly, whenever you are making changes to the data retention periods, you will get informed about data deletion:

Please note that when data deletion occurs, admins receive at least 2 email alerts, and a 7-day grace period is given until the data is permanently deleted.

Each change of the Data Retention Settings, gets applied after 7 days. Admins have the option to enable the new settings instantly and force the data deletion to take place later in the day. When a change is pending, you cannot add an additional change unless you cancel the current one.

Transitional Period to Data Retention Limits

All the limits mentioned above will be applied on the 01st of October 2024 (enforcement date). During the transitional period, admins have the option to keep their data till the enforcement date, prepare their Data Retention Settings and activate them on the enforcement date, or choose their Data Retention Settings and activate the Data Retention policy instantly.

During the transitional period, admins can get updated on their options in Data Retention Settings. The update looks like this:

That's it! You have successfully set up your Data Retention settings.
