Fax to Email lets you receive faxes straight in your inbox and send faxes by emailing a document. No fax machine and no portal login needed.
This article covers how to set up Fax to Email on your NUACOM numbers. To send or view faxes from the NUACOM portal, see this article.
Important: Setting up an email per number is mandatory for the Fax service to get activated.
Please note that Fax is not included in your subscriptions and is offered via an add-on.
How to set up Fax to Email
- Navigate to Settings > Fax to Email.
- Select the number you want to use for Fax to Email.
- Add the email address(es) for this number.
Once saved, the number is ready to receive faxes by email and the email addresses you added can be used to send faxes.
Important: Only email addresses you have added here can send faxes. Emails from any other address will not be sent as a fax.
Receiving a Fax by email
When someone sends a fax to your number, it arrives in the email inbox set up for that number.
You can also view every received fax in the NUACOM portal under Tools > Fax.
Sending a Fax by email
- Create a new email from one of your allowed email addresses.
- Send it to fax@fax.nuacom.net.
- In the subject line, enter the recipient's fax number, including the country code. For example:
353xxxxxxxxx. - Attach the document(s) you want to fax. (PDF, JPEG, or JPG files / maximum 50 pages per document)
- Send the email.
Important: Enter the fax number with the country code and no spaces or symbols. A missing country code is the most common reason a fax doesn't go through.
Best used when:
- You send faxes from your computer or phone and don't want to log in to the portal.
- Several team members need to send faxes from their own email accounts.
