With the NUACOM desktop app, you can now make video calls to your colleagues.

Initiate a Video Call

To initiate a video call simply head to the Teams tab, locate the team member that you'd like to call and click on the Video button.

If the team member is busy or offline, you won't be able to initiate the call.

In-Call Actions

While on the call, you have the following options:

  • Set up the call settings where you can change your camera, microphone, and speakers. Adjust your video quality to save bandwidth and set a background effect.
  • Change the grid view of the participants.
  • Enable Picture in Picture.
  • Manage your camera and microphone.
  • Enable chat to send a message to the other participant and download this chat for future reference.
  • Raise your hand.
  • Share your screen.
  • Leave the call.

Proper Usage & Extra Info

  • Video calls cannot be used as a replacement for voice calls. This means that if you initiate a video call, both participants' cameras are off, and you don't share your screen, the call will terminate automatically. You will get notified before this happens.
  • Video calls will be mentioned in the call logs as video calls and will be part of internal calls. In the NUACOM reports, they will count towards internal calls.
  • Only extensions in the enterprise package can initiate a video call. If some of the extensions in your account are not in the enterprise package, they can only receive video calls.
