Speed Dial lets you assign frequently called numbers to short codes, so you can reach them by dialing just a few digits instead of the full phone number.
Where to find it
- Log in to your NUACOM portal.
- In the left-hand menu, go to Tools.
- Select Speed Dial.
You'll see a table listing all your current speed dial entries, with three columns: Short Code, Number, and Notes.
How to call using a speed dial
To call any number saved as a speed dial, dial * followed by the short code.
For example, if short code 123 is set to your Support Hotline, dial *123 to call it directly.
Short code range
Speed dial short codes can be any number between 120 and 220.
Adding a new speed dial
- From the Speed Dial page, click + New Speed Dial in the top right corner.
- Choose a short code (between 120 and 220) that isn't already in use.
- Enter the phone number you want the code to dial.
- Add a note (e.g. the person's or department's name) so you can identify the entry later.
- Save your changes.
Editing an existing speed dial
- Find the entry you want to change in the list.
- Click the pencil (edit) icon at the end of its row.
- Update the short code, number, or notes as needed.
- Save your changes.
Printing your speed dial list
Click the Print button in the top right corner of the Speed Dial page to print or export the full list of short codes for quick reference — handy for keeping a copy at your desk.
Tips
- Use the Notes field to label each entry clearly (e.g. a name, department, or purpose) so your team can quickly find the right speed dial.
- Keep a printed copy near your desk phone if you use speed dials often, so you don't need to check the portal each time.
