With Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC), you have the flexibility to seamlessly integrate your existing telecom provider with NUACOM. This is especially useful if you want to route calls through NUACOM while maintaining your original carrier's SMS services or if you have advanced configurations on your current telecom platform that you wish to retain.

Please note that when using BYOC, you will continue to be billed by your current carrier in addition to any charges from NUACOM.

This setup gives you the best of both worlds—leveraging NUACOM’s powerful communication features while maintaining control over your telecom configurations.

Activate BYOC

To activate BYOC, head to Apps & Integrations and locate the BYOC app category. Currently, you have the option to connect with either Twilio or Telnyx. Calling is supported by both providers, while SMS is only supported by Twilio.

Connecting Twilio

To connect with Twilio, just click on View/Edit and in the pop-up, fill in your Twilio Credentials:

Your Twilio credentials, Account SID and Account Token are located on the main page of your Twilio account here:

Once ready, click on connect. When the account connects successfully, it will display all the available numbers in your Twilio account that are capable of making calls and sending SMS messages. You can select which numbers you want to use for SMS. All numbers will be used for calling. If you don't need to use all numbers, just create a sub-account, move your desired numbers and connect it to the integration.

Connecting Telnyx

To connect with Telnyx, just click on View/Edit and in the pop-up, fill in your API key:

To issue your API key, simply log in to Telnyx and click on 'Account options,' located in the top right area of your screen. Then click on API Keys and follow the instructions to create a new API key.

Check My Numbers

Once you have connected any of the providers, you can check the numbers in the My Numbers page on the NUACOM portal.

Numbers that are added using BYOC are marked as external in the page, like below:

There you can set up actions for your numbers.

That's it, you have successfully connected your external provider! If you need any additional help, our support team is available by submitting a ticket or by calling us at 777 from your NUACOM phone/app.
