How to Use Your V64 IP Phone — Quick Guide

Overview

This guide covers the everyday features of the Nuacom V64 IP phone. Follow these steps to make calls, transfer, use voicemail, and more.


Making a Call

You can make a call in two ways:

  1. Dial first, then pick up: Enter the number using the keypad, then lift the handset or press the Dial softkey or the hands-free button.
  2. Pick up first, then dial: Lift the handset (or press hands-free), then dial the number and press Dial or OK.

You can also dial from your phonebook, call log, or using redial.


Answering a Call

  • Lift the handset, or
  • Press the hands-free button, or
  • Press the Answer softkey on screen

To reject a call: press Reject.
To divert a call: press Divert.


Ending a Call

Put the handset back down, press the hands-free button, or press the End softkey.

Note: If your call is on hold, press Resume first before ending it.


Putting a Call on Hold

  1. During a call, press the Hold softkey.
  2. To return to the call, press Resume.

Transferring a Call

  • Blind transfer (straight transfer without speaking first): Press Xfer, dial the number, then press Xfer again.
  • Attended transfer (speak to the person first): Press Xfer, dial the number, wait for them to answer, announce the caller, then press Xfer to complete.

Muting a Call

  • Press the Mute button — the red light turns on and a mute icon appears on screen.
  • Press Mute again to unmute.

Tip: Press Mute on the idle screen to silence the ringer for incoming calls.


Redial

  • Press the Redial button on standby to call the last number dialled.
  • Or enter a number and press Redial to dial it immediately.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

DND stops incoming calls from ringing.

  1. Press the DND button to enable — the DND icon turns red.
  2. Press DND again to turn it off.

You can also set DND per line: Menu >> Features >> DND.


Call Forwarding

  1. Press Menu >> Features >> Call Forward.
  2. Select the line and forward type:
    • Unconditional — always forward all calls
    • On Busy — forward when you're on a call
    • No Answer — forward if you don't pick up in time
  3. Enter the number to forward to and press OK.

Conference Calls

  1. While on a call, press Conf.
  2. Dial the third party and wait for them to answer.
  3. Press Conf again to merge everyone into one call.

Voicemail

When you have a new voicemail, the message icon appears on screen.

  1. Press the envelope button on the phone (the dedicated voicemail button with an envelope symbol), or go to Menu >> Messages >> Voice Message.
  2. Select your line and press Play to listen.

Phonebook

  1. Press Contacts or Menu >> PhoneBook.
  2. Browse or search for a contact and press Dial.
  3. To add: press Add, fill in the name and number, press OK.

Call Log

  1. Press History or Menu >> CallLog.
  2. Browse missed, incoming, or outgoing calls and press Dial to call back.
