Before placing a call, you may have to dial a number or numbers to reach an outside line. There are several ways to place or answer a call:

• Pick up the handset
• Press the Speaker button
• Press the Headset button
• Press the Answer softkey
• Press a configured line button (to place a call) or a green flashing line button (to answer a call)
